Prickly Pear Beauty Bowl

This prickly pear hibiscus smoothie bowl is the perfect summer treat that is packed full of skin loving ingredients to support skin health from the inside out! I’ve partnered with RBA Skincare to create a skin nourishing recipe using some of the amazing ingredients found in their skincare products!

Ingredient Highlights

Prickly Pear Prickly pear is the fruit of the cactus also known as Opuntia. This fruit is packed with skin nourishing benefits! It’s rich in vitamin E, omega 6 and omega 9 and highly concentrated in amino acids which supports skin cell growth and collagen production! It’s packed with antioxidants and anti-inflammatory properties!

Aloe Vera〰 Hydrating, supports skin elasticity and stimulates the production of hyaluronic acid, collagen and elastin fibers in the skin.

Honey 〰Rich in antioxidants, antiseptic, and antibacterial properties!

Hibiscus〰 High in Vitamin C! Supports a healthy immune response, support cardiovascular health, support skin health, support healthy circulation, support the body's ability to fight infections, nourishes the brain and nervous system , support a healthy inflammation response! Note this ingredient isn’t found in RBA products but it contains many skin loving proprieties!

Ingredients

  • 1 1/2 cup frozen strawberries

  • 1/2 cup frozen raspberries

  • 1/2 cup frozen prickly pear

  • 1/4 cup frozen aloe

  • 1/4 tsp hibiscus powder

  • 1/2 coconut milk

  • 3 tbsp hemp seeds

  • 1 tbsp coconut butter

  • 1 scoop collagen powder

  • 1 -2 tsp honey

  • 1 tsp bee pollen, for garnish

  • 1 tbsp coconut chips, for garnish

  • 1 handful of fresh berries, for garnish

Method

Add all ingredients to a high-speed blender and slowly add in the coconut milk and blend until smooth. Add in the remaining ingredients and blend until well incorporated.

Pour into a bowl and top with bee pollen, coconut chips, and fresh berries!

Note:

Measure out the strawberries, raspberries, prickly pear and aloe and place in a zip block or stasher bag and freeze for 1-2 hours before hand.
